Worth blogging about

These days, it takes an awfully important story to get me to blog. This one is worth it; it really touched me.

"How many rocks are they going to throw in your cart before you can't pull it anymore” he says he asks himself. “The answer, apparently, is a lot.”
Hoping that some prayers will lighten this young man's load. Read the whole thing, and then, please, say a prayer for them all.

Makes me realize just how lucky I am to have a healthy family.

Wow,

You weren't kidding. An article like that in USA Today? Is Al Neuharth rolling over in his grave? (or is he still alive?)

I don't know why but after learning that the couple met at U of Dallas during there semester in Rome I felt a stronger connection. My younger sister also went to U of D and spent a semester or more in Rome as well. I have always been impressed by the fidelity of U of D and the conversion of the mother and actions of the father confirm that. May God bless them. As far as the ethics questions I always felt that any mother who loved her unborn child in the example of Christ would willingly give up their life for that child. I know as a father of three I would if forced with that choice.

On the title of this entry I have to agree with ME -- has there been anything worthy of blogging since Schiavo/PJPII?

They interviewed the husband on a morning news show the day after the USA Today story broke. He was breaking and it broke my heart to hear him say things like, my faith is shaken, I need something tangible to know God is in this...etc. Yes, he needs our prayers, the whole family does. His mother is very devout, from what I've read, so I'm sure there are lots of prayers being said, but more can't hurt!

So was there ever a follow up article to this? Do we know what happened?
