Drudge says that 55 million people watched the debates last night. That confirms my observation that there's a greater-than-usual interest in this election. That makes sense; we're at war. There's a lot at stake. People should be engaged in the discussion. That makes me hopeful about the future.

Say did you see that photo of the candidates on Drudge, I must have dozed off - at what point last night did they sew Kerry's left ear on to Bush's forehead?!
Also, did you see the link on Drudge to the DNC reaction shot video? I thought the President showed remarkable restraint while the mime spoke, which makes me realize I wish Kerry had been more mime-esque last night!
Finally, Kerry said he made a mistake when he "talked" about Iraq. Bush should've responded that some of the mistakes in his talking on Iraq had consequences, for instance when Kerry talked and said "Nay" to financing the troops!
